- THIS MODIFICATION ADDS THE THE PREVIOUSLY OMITTED RESPONSE DATE OF AUGUST 4, 2006. RESPONSE DATE IS AN ESTIMATE, OFFERORS SHOULD VERIFY THE DATE IN THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION. NOTICE: 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SET-ASIDE. Numbered Note 29. Project Name: Paint Visitor Center Complex at Cabrillo National Monument. The Solicitation Number for this project is Q8110060006. The US Department of the Interior, the National Park Service, Pacific West Regional Office is soliciting proposals from qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned firms for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: preparation, priming, and painting of the exterior walls, wooden and steel doors and door frames, building and window trim and round wood poles, of the Visitor Center Complex consisting of three (3) one-story buildings and two (2) vending machine shelters. There are approximately 16,000 square feet of walls (verticle ship lap siding), 1,200 square feet of doors, 2,900 square feet of window frames, and 850 square feet of trim. The NAICS code for this project is 238320 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million. Contract duration is 45 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a "Best Value" negotiated procurement: the Government will consider an offeror's capability (technical expertise and past performance) in comparison to the offered price, with price equal in importance to the offeror's capability. In addition to price, Offerors will be evaluated on the following: 1. Experience in painting similar projects wood framed buildings, including the installation of components for seismic compliance; 2. project management; and 3. past performance on similar painting projects. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about July 17, 2006 at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. (See FEDBIZOPPS SEARCH, below). All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 15 days following the date of posting of the solicitation unless extended.
