Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price contract for a SmartShield & Eid Enforcement Identification machine. The contractor will provide a SmartShield & Eid Enforcement Identification machine. SmartShield" Badge and SmartShield" technology validates a badge?s authenticity; Eid" software records & verifies badge history together delivering a complete, secure badge-control system. Each SmartShield badge has an embedded, uniquely-encoded, not-spoofable microchip transponder Embedded chips are nearly indestructible in all conditions, yet will self-destruct if removal is attempted in any fashion. The numeric encoding on each microchip transponder includes a unique facility/agency code and a unique/individual chip identification number. The numeric encoding on each chip (the agency code and chip i.d.) is agency-specific; it?s the virtual equivalent of teeth on a door/car key. There is no personal information stored on a SmartShield badge chip-transponder just the numeric key encoding the chips encoding is recognized by an RFID (radio frequency identification) reader (provided) which transmits chip-data to the connected computer. The IRS Office of Criminal Investigations has identified V.H. Blackinton & Co., Inc. of Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts, as the sole source to provide the requirement. Responsible sources who believe they can provide the required services may submit a written capability statement, via e-mail, no later than 10 days from the published date of this announcement. Telephone inquiries will be considered non-responsive. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, requests for solicitations will be considered non-responsive. If no responses are received the award will be made to V.H. Blackinton & Co., Inc.
