- Naval Air Depot, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for maintenance and support for critical business applications Information Systems hardware and software. A Statement of Objectives (SOO) will be provided in Section C of the solicitation to assist in the preparation of a proposal that shall include the tasks required to qualify and provide maintenance and support services for a complex cluster of HP Servers, HP Operating Software support and VERITAS Suite of products (hereafter referred to as ?the cluster?) and (?VERITAS?). For the purposes of this requirement, ?maintenance and support services? is defined as the provision of all analysis, engineering, technical, logistical, help desk or other services that are required to restore the covered equipment, firmware and software to a fully operational state within the required timeframes in the event of a system malfunction or to bring the system into compliance with Navy Security Policies. These services shall include providing all necessary replacement hardware, operating system software updates and/or firmware updates which are needed to restore the system to a fully operational state. This acquisition is being pursued as an unrestricted full and open competition. The resultant award will be a one-year fixed price contract with four (4) one-year option periods. The period of performance will commence October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 for a twelve (12) month base period. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811212, with a size standard of $23M. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code is 7010. The completed Solicitation will be released on or about July 31, 2006. The solicitation will be structured with two separate CLINS for each performance period so that offerors can propose on one or both requirements which may result in one or two contracts under this single solicitation.
