Description
DESCRIPTION OF SOLICITATION: INDEFINITE-DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contracts for Services or Supplies or Equipment, as specified. MAXIMUM VALUE: The maximum overall cumulative value ( maximum non-guaranteed ) amount is $ 125 Million for each awarded contract for life of each contract, resulting in five (5) Billion Dollars for life of all contracts awarded; out of which one (1) Billion shall be reserved for Department (DOI). These contracts shall be available for use by any other Federal Agencies. MINIMUM VALUE: The guaranteed minimum for each contract awarded is $5000 for life of the contract (Base Year plus 4 Option Years). Contractors are not guaranteed work in excess of the minimum guarantee specified herein. TASK ORDERS: The only services/supplies equipment authorized under this contract will be ordered by the Government through issuance of Task Orders on competitive basis to awarded Contractors. The Government makes no representation as to the number of task orders or actual amount of services/supplies to be ordered, however Contractors are not guaranteed work in excess of the minimum guarantee specified. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: Base year and four (4) 12-month option periods. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This procurement consists of one Solicitation with the intent to award no more than 30 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multi Award Task Order Contracts for the Services/Supplies/Equipment to the responsible and responsive proposers whose proposals, confirming to the Request for Proposal (RFP), will be most advantageous to the Government, considering cost or price and other factors, specified in the RFP. The basis of Award shall be Best Value to the Government. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held in Lakewood, Colorado (place, date and time to be determined at a later date), however, it will be 15 days after issuance of the Solicitation. DESCRIPTION : CLASSIFICATION CODE: 58 - Narrowband Radio Equipment, Communication, Detection, and Coherent Radiation Equipment. The Department of Interior (DOI) has a requirement for narrowband radio equipment, as well as associated accessories, testing equipment, service equipment, and miscellaneous services such as installation and removal and maintenance. The equipment must meet NTIA multimode 12.5/25 kilohertz channel spacing, and Telecommunications Industry Association TIA-102 and Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International (APCO) Project 25 standards. Radio equipment requirements include VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz multimode (analog and digital) narrowband, conventional, and trunked radio equipment for various U.S. Government agencies, including base stations, mobile radios, portable radios, repeaters, and transportable radios. In addition to radio equipment, this contract is to provide support equipment and accessories, installation, engineering, maintenance services, e.g., portable radio batteries, control consoles, radio system interconnect devices, vehicular repeaters, TIA-102 test equipment. NAICS code is 334220. DOI anticipates issuing a multiple award IDIQ contract that will be open to all federal agencies for ordering purposes. The contracts will provide for a base year period of performance and four option years. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about two months and responses will be required 30 days from the date of issuance. The Description/Specification will be posted with the RFP and may be viewed and downloaded by using the "Clauses & Attachments" button. The solicitation will be issued on or about 1 August 2006 with a closing date on or about 16 October 2006. Award is anticipated on or about 29 December 2006.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: (a) Contractors shall not be reimbursed for the costs of submitting the required documentation and preparing the proposal.
