- This is a Brand Name Solicitation. The 96 Contracting Squadron, 96 CONS/MSCBA at Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for Stanley Vidmar Storage Cabinets, brand name. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) FIT0DD6160A3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 337214, with small business standard size 500 employees. This notice is a full and open competition requirement. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. Brand Name Justification Statement: a. Our Organization is expanding the TSI engineering lab to accommodate new engineers and technicians. The expansion requires ten 10-Volt and ten 100-volt workbenches and cabinets to support instrumentation support equipment and airborne data collection units. Stanley Vidmar benches are currently used in the lab to support existing instrumentation requirements. To maintain continuity we require the same work benches that are currently being utilized in our lab. b. The benches and cabinets meet the size and dimensions of the lab expansion and the only one capable of meeting the organizations requirements. We require form, fit, function, and interchangeability with other lab equipment as this will reduce down time and provide savings to the government.
