Description
RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS FOR SOLICITATION NUMBER 246-06-02682 FOR MAMMOGRAPHY SERVICES AT ASHEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA VAMC 1. Reference Section B ? Schedule of Supplies/Services, Reporting on Page 6: This states that the ordering physician is to get the reports within 48 hours of completion of the mammography. The question is for the Government to define completion. Is that 48 hours from when the films are taken or 48 hours from when the films are read by the radiologist? Response. The results are to be faxed within 48 hours of the mammography being performed on the patient. 2. Reference Section B ? Schedule of Supplies/Services, Mammography Services, sub-paragraph ?e.?, Breast Biopsy Services on Page 6. If a Contractor can perform most biopsies on site, but cannot perform the "Stereotactic" breast biopsy or the "Wire localization", patients requiring these services will have to be referred elsewhere. The prospective offeros question has three (3) parts. How does this affect the contract papers we are required to send in? How would that referral take place? How does the doctor/facility that performs the referral get paid? Response. Offerors attention is directed to the ?NOTE TO CONTRACTOR? on Page 7 of the solicitation and the Evaluation ? Commercial Item criteria on Pages 40 and 41 of the solicitation. Both areas address what offerors must do if they plan to subcontract out any elements of work/services. Offerors are reminded the prime contractor will be responsible for subcontracting any service(s) they cannot provide, billing for all services and making their own arrangements with the subcontractor for reimbursement. Further, the prime contractor will also be responsible for ensuring that any proposed subcontractor?s meet all licensing and accreditation requirements as required per the solicitation.
