Description

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security located at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center, Orient Point, New York, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Asuragen Inc., 2150 Woodward St., Austin TX 78744 to develop, manufacture, and deliver a customized product, Custom Armored RNA Quant Ag-aRNA #2 (DHS-2) that will be used to help accomplish critical mission objectives with regard to live Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMVD) and the diagnosis of high consequence FMDV. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. DHS intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority FAR 6.302-1. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis is solely authorized at the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates award on July 10, 2006. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement.
