- The purpose of this proposed contract is to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in achieving the goal of providing unique and quality assured influenza-related reagents and resources in support of accelerated development of clinical diagnostic products for human influenza, including products that will enable rapid on-site detection of novel pandemic human influenza strains, including differentiation from contemporary human influenza virus strains to meet clinical and public health needs. This program will provide quality-assured reagents and resources to aid in the development, evaluation, validation and testing of point-of-care diagnostics for these organisms. The Repository developed under this contract will coordinate access to reagents. The Repository will acquire, authenticate, store, and distribute state-of-the-art research and reference reagents and standardized panels. Funding for a firm-fixed-price service type contract will be provided to support this effort. RFP 2006-N-08579 will be available on or about July 28, 2006. The solicitation can be accessed through the internet at: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendment issued to the solicitation will also be made available at the same website. It is the Contractor?s responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding this RFP on the FedBizOpps website. Full and open competition will be used in soliciting offers for this requirement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business. All responsible sources may summit a proposal, which will be considered by the Agency.
