- This RFQ is for the purchase of the following item: Item 0001: 18,000 yards, cloth satin, glass, 2.89 oz min to 3.25 oz max per square yard, natural, both sides 38 inch width, used for Epoxy Laminates, Type III. This cloth shall be made to the requirements of Type III, Class 2 of SAE-AMS-C-9084. Previous History: SP0100-04-M-4346, 8,668 yards, @ $34,585.32. RFQ will be issued as a totally small business set-aside. Availability of solicitation, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitation in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after 18 July 2006 (this is an estimated date). From the Gateway home page, select "Search RFQs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
