- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Science Center (NMFSC), Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for a contractor for genetic sampling of O mykiss juveniles and genotyping of O. mykiss individuals in the Columbia River Basin. The project will address the following tasks: 1.) collect tissue samples of O. mykiss from various tributaries in the Columbia River Basin for future microsatellite genotyping. 2.) microsatellite genotyping of 1248 individuals at up to 12 loci. The intended acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 USC 235 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. The government identified the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC), as the only source who can complete work under proposed because of permitting issues, this study will continue to use CRITFC?s existing permits, consultations and memoranda that allow the take of federally listed species. The government reserves the right to solicit bids based on the receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission without further notice. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued with performance period of one year from date of award.. This may represent the only official notice. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
