Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The request for quote (RFQ) number is EA1350-06-RQ-0647. This synopsis/solicitation constitutes a RFQ and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27. This is a full and open requirement and all responsible businesses may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Government. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has a requirement to provide meeting space, guest rooms, breaks with refreshments, equipment, and material to provide the SCO PD 2006 Conference to be held on July 16 ? 21, 2006 in Alexandria, VA. The Hotel facilities offered shall meet the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (PL 101-391) and be listed on the Hotel-Motel Master List and meet, at a minimum, the requirements for a Mobil Travel Guide Rating of three stars with a full-service restaurant so the participants will not have to leave the Hotel for meals. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 721110. The Request for Quotations is only available on line by downloading from this site. All contractors that intend on providing a proposal are requested to email the Contract Specialist, Janie Laferty at Janie.M.Laferty@noaa.gov and provide your company name, phone number and contact. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal contract. For information regarding registration in CCR contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Contractors are asked to provide their (DUNS) Dun and Bradstreet nine digit number along with their quotation. Quotes can be faxed to 757-441-3786 or mailed to U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, Eastern Region Acquisition Division, 200 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23510. No telephone requests will be honored. Quotes are due on or before July 7, 2006 by 4:00 p.m. EST. Quotes may be faxed to 757-441-3786 or 757-441-3735 or emailed to Janie.M.Laferty@noaa.gov. It is the intent of NOAA to award a purchase order on or about July 10, 2006. This is a Commercial Acquisition and Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 12 apply.
