- Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is conducting a Rapid Watershed Assessment (RWA) for every 8-digit hydrologic unit in the state. These are to be used for prioritizing future conservation activities and programs. Seventy-one watershed analyses will be completed for the state under the proposed contract. The selected contractor will be responsible for the development of information on the ownership, land use, and some natural resource inventory information (obtained through geographic information analysis and database manipulations). There will be two bid items: Item # 1 will be to produce maps and reports for 37 watersheds fully within Idaho. Item # 2 will be to produce the same maps and reports, utilizing data obtained by the contractor from other states for 34 watersheds that extend into other states. The selected contractor must have considerable experience in dealing with large sets of geographic data and clipping that data out into smaller subsets. The selected contractor must have experience in preparing tabular reports from spatial data queries and intersections. The selected contractor must have experience in preparing high quality graphics in the form of maps and images from geographic data. The selected contractor must have experience in providing consistent analyses from one subset of data to another. The selected contractor must have experience in gathering data from other states. The performance period is anticipated to be four months. Request For Proposal bid packages will be available on FedBizOpps on or about July 12, 2006. Bids are due at 2:30 p.m. local time on August 11, 2006. The price range for this solicitation is between $25,000 and $50,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
