- Description
- The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency intends to award on a sole source basis a modification to our existing contract that provides interpreting services. The current contractor is Signing Hands. This modification will extend the interpreting services both on a full time and intermittent basis, with cleared and uncleared interpreters. NGA is in the process of preparing a solicitation, which was previously announced in FEDBIZOPPS. Issuance of this solicitation was delayed, which necessitated the need for a modification to extent the current services in order to allow sufficient time to compete the new requirement. The extension will be through 1 September 2006. It is anticipated that the solicitation for the new interpreting contract will be issued within the next 2 weeks. All responsible offerors are welcome to submit a response to this upcoming solicitation. However, it is unreasonable to compete the extension in that immediate services are required and a solicitation for new contract will be issued in approximately 2 weeks. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available for the extension of services. However, vendors who believe they have this capability are encouraged to check the fedbizops website for the upcoming competitive solicitation. Award is anticipated 6 days after publication of this notice. Responses received within this time frame will be considered by the Government, but must be in writing The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
