- Description
- The Forest Service will be accepting offers for the 22N01 Decommissioning Project. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials for the decommissioning of the specified segment of road 22N01. Major items of work include, but are not limited to: removal of structures and obstructions; roadway obliteration; and seeding and mulching. Roadway obliteration includes removal of fill material at local drainages to restore natural stream drainage patterns. Major quantities include 2.50 miles of roadway obliteration. LOCATION: The project is located in Glenn County on the Grindstone Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest. To reach the project area from Willows, CA: at the junction of Interstate 5, take Highway 162 west for approximately 21 miles to the junction with County Road 306; proceed north on CR306 for approximately 7 miles to the junction with CR313; proceed west/north on CR313 for approximately 14 miles to the junction with Forest Service road 22N01; proceed west on 22N01 for approximately 6.5 miles to beginning of project. Within the project area, portions of the existing road are nearly or completely gone. Prospective bidder?s may have to view the project site on foot as the existing road is currently not drivable by standard 4-wheel drive vehicles. CONTRACT TIME: 60 calendar days. Work is estimated to start approximately August 21, 2006. Solicitation estimated issue date is July 6, 2006, with an estimated due date of August 7, 2006 at close of business. The solicitation will be posted on this website for viewing and printing.
