- Furnish all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to perform work for Project #RMA22984, Replace Cooling Tower at the JF Williams Building, Boston, MA 02110 as required by the specifications. Work includes but is not limited to: Removal of existing 20+ year-old 300-ton induced-draft cooling tower, and providing a tower of the same capacity at the same location. The existing tower will be disassembled, and the replacement tower field-erected, due to site conditions. Removing existing tower and providing replacement tower will require rigging, and also temporary removal of fencing, stair rails, and other appurtenances at the site, and will also require temporarily cordoning off of the public way, detouring pedestrian traffic during the rigging process. Work also includes connection of the tower to piping, power, controls, and other building systems as required for a complete, operational system. Estimated construction value is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and NAICS code 238220 is applicable. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at this website, hard copies will not be mailed. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office. Solicitation package will be available on or about July 6, 2006, 2006. Bid Opening Date is August 7, 2006. Prebid Conference is July,21 2006 at 2 pm at the J.F. Williams Building, 408 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, MA 02110. This is a total service disabled veteran owned small business set-aside.
