- The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences of Shelton, CT for a Tri-Carb 3170TR/LS liquid scintillation counter. A trade-in allowance for older equipment is also anticipated. This instrument is the only known instrument compatible with current USGS systems. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. Delivery will be FOB Destination to Menlo Park, CA. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the Contracting Officer (rdonez@usgs.gov) no later than the response date of this announcement. This procurement is pending availability of funds and will be processed to the point of award.
