- The FAA is planning a 2-step process for selecting a contractor to perform the required services. In response to this initial Screening Information Request (SIR) offerors are required to submit a narrative to describe their past experience as it relates to providing services of a similar size and complexity for similar requirements (technical support for knowledge networks and programs). The FAA will evaluate the responses to the initial SIR and down-select the five most qualified offerors from whom more detailed proposals will be requested. Proposals in response to this initial SIR are due on July 10, 2006. The actual Screening Information Request and attachments are provided as separate documents along with this announcement. Amendment 1 was issued on June 12, 2006. Amendment 2 was issued on June 13, 2006 (to answer a few questions). Amendment 3 was issued on June 19, 2006 (to correct size standard). Amendment 4 was issued on June 22, 2006 (to answer a question).
