Description

The Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Infolinx, for tab converters, converter labels, and placement of these labels on to converters. The contractor will be able to enhance the operation of the records management of the Official Personnel Files (OPF?s). The contractor will be able to maintain the continuity of the color and bar coding process already in place with the Bureau?s Central Office filing system, the accuracy of the file organization, inventory, and retrieval process. The contractor will not have to create new art programs, and bar/color coding programs. The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 541512 (Computer Systems Design Services). Interested parties may identify their interest and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by June 27, 2006. Any interested party must be able to supply the government with an Infolinx system to keep continuity with the other Bureau of Prison?s systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
