- DRYDOCK & REPAIRS OF USCGC GEORGE COBB (WLM 564) Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific is looking for a shipyard with a certified dry dock that may be interested in and have the capabilities to perform the DRYDOCK & REPAIRS of USCGC GEROGE COBB (WLM 564), a175 Coastal Buoy Tender, homeported in San Pedro, California. All work shall be performed at the contractor facility during the period of 03 January 2007 to 13 March 2007. Performance is geographically restricted to West Coast to San Francisco Bay and South to San Diego, California. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 11 July 2006 and a closing date of 29 August 2006. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items will include: production control; Gantt bar chart; hull plating; underwater body inspect; hull plating, underwater body ultrasonic testing; appendages (underwater) leak test; tanks (MP fuel service) clean and inspect; tanks (MP fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect; tanks (potable water) clean and inspect, weather tight door renewal; z-drive propulsion units overhaul; ship service diesel generator exhaust stack commercial clean; electric motor overhaul and hydraulic pump alignment; doppler speed log, general maintenance; fathometer transducer renewal; flexible hose renewal; sea strainers (all sizes) overhaul; sea valve (<=2.5 inches) renewal; sea valve (>2.5 inches) overhaul; deck machinery hydraulic power unit system piping modification, bow thruster unit (general) overhaul; cross deck winches repair and test; hydraulic chain inhaul winch repair, modify, and test; hydraulic chain-stoppers level 2 inspect and repair; mechanical chain stoppers (gen) level 2 inspect and repair; warping capstan (gen) level 2 inspect an repair; single point davit level 2 inspect and test; buoy and cargo handling crane inspect and repair; pad eyes and links, level 1 inspect and test; forepeak tank preservation; tanks (sewage and grey water) preserve; buoy decks (exterior) preserve, 100%; hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial; cathodic protection, zinc anode renewal; temporary service, drydock provide; sea trials, drydocking accomplished; appendages (underwater) air test; appendages (underwater) preserve, internal; hull plating, underwater body preserve (100%).
