- Description
- The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with MKS Software, Inc. to procure support to continue implementation, training, and consulting support for the MKS Mid-Tier Configuration Management tool. This tool is a proprietary product and training and consultation services relating to the product are restricted to personnel employed by MKS. Both the product and services support the requirements of the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003; additional functionality of the software tool is required to continue the implementation process. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition in accordance with the authority provided at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). If no affirmative written document is received within 15 days of this synopsis, CMS will proceed with negotiations to issue a contract to MKS Software, Inc. (USA).
