- Description
- This is designed to provide a Crew(s) and/or fully outfitted Type 6 Engine(s) to assist with prescribed fire and associated preparation activities for 2006 through 2009. This is intended to meet the intent of the National Fire Plan in accordance with Public Law 106-291. Prescribed burn crew and engine services could include ignition, holding, mop-up and patrol or unit preparation on prescribed fires within the Umatilla National Forest. Contractor shall supervise the work of hand crew and engine crew at all times. This is an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantities type contract spanning 3 years. During the contract period the Government is obligated to place only a minimum of orders totaling 5 days and may order up to a maximum of 48 days. Days may be filled consecutively or concurrently with 2 or more 5 person prescribed fire crews or Type 6 engines. Each day will consist of 12 hours of work. During the performance period of September 15 through November 15 and March 1 through June 1, Contractor?s crew and/or engines shall be available to perform Prescribed Fire and preparation activities. The period during which work will actually be performed will be dependent on burn windows and will be designated by the Government in a written task order(s). There is no guarantee of full-time work for the entire performance period. Availability of Contractor?s crew outside the performance period is optional and will become effective upon acceptance of a task order by the Contractor.
