Description
NAICS Code: 23332 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is providing notice of its intent to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for furnishing and installing two (2) new steel guard booths to replace existing ones located at 1200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, (Ariel Rios North driveway) and 1201 Constitution Ave. NW (EPA East driveway). The two existing booths measure 4' X 5' and 5' x 6'. The product requires a minimum of: 1) A Level III A or Ballistic Rating of UL Level 6; 2) Steel structure at least 5' x 6' x 8' but no more than 6' x 6' x 8' with pyramid style roof accommodating one person with standard counter beneath the window; 3) A sliding window (Once in place, the door will open to the driveway. The window should be to the right of the door from inside of the booth); fixed windows on all other sides. All windows glazed tinted tempered dual pane insulated glass. No more than 35% tint; 4) Wall mount under counter heater; 5) Roof AC with at least 11,600 BTU; 6) Interior recessed flourescent lights with wall switch; 7) At least four anchor clip pre-drilled holes; 8) 3 duplex electrical outlets, with telephone, communications, and data jacks; 9) A single outside spot light; 10) Sliding lock doors with key/combination lock; 11) Painted finish; 12) Raised rubber tile on floor. This requirement includes furnishing two fully assembled booths, ready for placement and operation. The removal of the current booths, mounting of new booths, hooking up of electrical sockets will be done by U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The contractor shall submit along with his price proposal, past performance history, delivery schedule, warranty details, and structure of booth details and diagrams. The vendor must be in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 52.213-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items (Sept 05). The basis of award for this procurement will be BEST VALUE to the government considering the following criteria, and not necessarily in this order. Although function, safety and structure of booth would weigh heavier than cost, cost will be considered. First consideration will be given to General Services Administration (GSA) schedule contractors. For consideration, vendors/contractor must provide their GSA schedule number if applicable, and be registered in the Central Contractor's Register (CCR) ( www.ccr.gov).
