- The North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office and Dewitt Army Community Hospital intend to issue a sole source contract to CR Associates Inc, 8580 Cinderbed Road, Suite 2400, Newington, VA 22122, to operate and maintain two contractor owned and oper ated Family Health Centers in Woodbridge and Fairfax VA, to provide primary and limited specialty care to enrolled beneficiaries of the Dewitt Healthcare Network. Combined enrolled population is apprximately 47,000. The contract is a follow-on continuati on of services awarded under contract W81K04-04-C-0002 awarded 11 Dec 2003 by the Center for Healthcare Contracting, Ft Sam Huston, TX. The contract period will be 1 April 2007 through 30 March 2008 with one six month option period. Requirements include provision of facilities, staffing with healthcare professional and administrative support, provision of equipment, provision of supplies including pharmacy, maintenance, and furnishing of the facilities, dedicated solely to providing healthcare to DoD ben eficiaries. This action is being initiated due to existance of adequate facilities, staffing, and support and the short term of this contract. Changes in established location, staffing, and processes would disrupt the continuity of care for the enrolled population, take excessive amount of time to transition and startup and be cost prohibitive for the short term nature of this requirement.
