Description

The U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, has a requirement for the above subject project. This is not a Solicitation Announcement or a Request for Proposal and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this so urces sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified/certified, Service Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business, relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 237990. To make appropriate acquisitions for the above project, the Government, will use responses to this sources sought synopsis and possible future projects as determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The order of magnitude, for this effort is estimated to be between $500,000.00 a nd $1,000,000.00. This project consists of removing an existing concrete wing wall and various other kinds of debris to make way for the construction of a concrete u-frame drop structure and outlet into Nonconnah Creek. Work includes clearing and debris r emoval; structural excavation and backfill; placement and removal of a silt fence and rock dam for environmental protection; placement of reinforced concrete for u-frame and outlet structure; placement of various types of backfill, bedding materials and ri prap; placing a steel sheet pile cutoff wall under outlet; and place a chain link fence on top of u-frame walls. The following information is req uested: (1) Name of firm w/address, telephone, fax number, e-mail address, and point of contact. (2) State if your company is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. (3) State whether your firm can provide an Irrevocable Letter of Credit or a Paym ent Bond (100% of the contract amount). Qualifications are as follows: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate specialized experience and technical competence in: (a) construction of a concrete u-frame drop structure and outlet; (b) cleari ng and debris removal; (c) structural excavation and backfill and all other work associated with the general work requirement of this project. Evaluation(s) will consider overall experience. Also provide documentation for your firm on past performance as a prime contractor. Submission Requirements: Firms submitting responses shall present their information in a matrix format showing contracts they have performed. The matrix shall show the most recent five projects that prove you can meet each qualification criteria listed above. It shall include contract number, project title and location, description of work, and a point of contact and telephone number for each. Firms should also indicate all applicable personnel and sub-contractors proposed to work on the contract. Firms who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be considered by the Government while making the acquisition decision for this sources sought announcement.
