- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) No. HSHQDC-06-R-00036 for Untethered Lighter Than Air (LTA) Platform Concept Development. The requirement is to develop a comprehensive systems concept for persistent border surveillance using a modified commercial prototype, untethered, lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicle and perform a proof-of-concept test flight. The period of performance is 12 months. This is a full and open competition procurement. A firm fixed priced, stand-alone contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541690 and the Small Business Size Standard is $6 million. The RFP will be posted to FEDBIZOPS on or about 28 June 2006 and response will be due 30 days thereafter. The solicitation will only be available electronically on FEDBIZOPS. Contractors are encouraged to review the website regularly for important solicitation information. All potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
