- Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is considering four Space Heater NSN?s for a long-term contract with a two year base period and three 1 year options. Technical information and yearly estimated quantities for each NSN are listed below. This procurement will be unrestricted. Numbered Note 12 applies to this procurement. First Article Testing and source inspection applies to all NSN?s. Additionally, for two NSN?s, a Product Demonstration Model will be required as part of any proposal submission. This procurement will have Direct Vendor Deliveries to locations throughout the Continental United States. The following deliveries will apply for each NSN?s: 1 each to 50 each will be delivered in 5 calendar days, 51 each to 250 each will be delivered in 30 calendar days and quantities of 251 each and higher will be delivered in 90 days. Pricing will be given for each quantity range. Pricing will be submitted for each base year and each option year. Only FOB Destination pricing will be acceptable. The following items will be included on the proposed solicitation: NSN 4520-01-444-2375, SPACE HEATER ARCTIC (made in accordance to MIL-PRF-44494) has an annual estimated quantity of 1,800 each. NSN 4520-01-329-3451, H45 SPACE HEATER, 45,000 BTU (made in accordance to drawings) has an annual estimated quantity of 3,500 each. NSN 4520-01-354-1191, H45 SPACE HEATER, COAL OR SOLID FUEL BURNING, 45,000 BTU; (made in accordance to drawings) and has an annual estimated quantity of 300 each. NSN 4520-01-478-9207; SPACE HEATER SMALL, 12,000 BTU (made in accordance to MIL-PRF-32197) has an annual estimated quantity of 1,200 each. Please note that the annual estimates may be revised at the time of the solicitation to provide the most accurate and up to date information possible. This procurement will have an Add/Delete clause. A new H80 Space Heater may be designed and approved in the future but it is not included in this solicitation. However, it may be added to the subsequent contract or contracts in the future through an Add/Delete clause. The H80 will be a tent heater with a heat output up to 80,000 BTU and will be made in accordance to a performance specification. The H80 will have two versions, one that uses only liquid fuels and one that uses solid fuels. If approved, the H80 Space Heater(s) may replace the H45 Space Heater(s) or be provided alongside the H45 Space Heater(s). The solicitation and associated drawings, once issued, will be posted on the DLA Procurement Gateway website, http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home/. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on 5 July 2006. Any changes in the solicitation issue date or posting location of the solicitation will be posted on this Website.
