- Description
- The Government intends to procure Contractor Maintenance Services for F/A-18 aircraft assigned to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS, Beaufort, SC. The maintenance services will include the assessment, inspection and repair of F/A-18 aircraft returning from Iraq. The period of performance will be 01 August 2006 through 31 July 2007 with provisions for four (4) option years. The Government intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Boeing Aerospace Operations, Inc. Midwest, OK (subsidiary of Boeing Co.) based on the fact that Beoing Co., holds the proprietary rights to the technical data for this requirement. Access to this technical data in its current configuration is essential for performance of these services. See Notes 22 and 26.
