Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center New Orleans, on behalf of Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education Information Technology/Information Management Division, intends to modify contract N00140-06-C-0008 with Science Application International Corporation (SAIC). The modification will provide for 3 additional months of research and development and information technology support services for the Electronic Military Personnel Records System (EMPRS) program. The 3 month extension will serve as a bridge vehicle until a new competitively awarded follow-on task order can be issued against the Navy's SeaPort vehicle. Support to the EMPRS program includes computer operations and message center support, system administration, data base administration, application configuration and support, information and network security support, help desk support, and legacy network support. This includes a document imaging production operation, and record correction and customer support services, for the repository of over 3.5 million permanent personnel records. Additionally, support is required to provide Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), legacy Local Area Network (LAN), and systems technical operations for MPT&E. This support is for hardware and software at the NAVPERSCOM Network Control Center (NCC) located in Millington and at the Liaison Detachment at the Navy Annex in Washington, DC. Support is also required for BUPERS On-Line (BOL) which hosts over forty manpower and personnel applications. BOL is the system that will allow the sailor in the future to review their personnel record on line. The Government intends to issue a request for proposal to SAIC. Questions pertaining to this acquisition should be addressed to Mr. Ed Wallace at (504) 697-7003 or email ed.wallace1@navy.mil within 45 days of the initial posting of this announcement.
