- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Newport, RI under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The requirement is for SABER (Survey Analysis and Area Based Editor) hydrographic data processing software, maintenance, and training as specified in the Statement of Work. SABER integrates NAVOCEANO?s existing area-based editor with SAIC?s survey analysis software, and automated algorithms that optimize the analysis process. SABER was developed to provide a flexible, robust data processing and analysis tool that helps users process, edit and analyze large volumes of hydrographic data for seafloor mapping. This action is being conducted in accordance with FAR 12 and FAR 13.5. NAICS 541511 with business size of $23.0M applies. A five-year, firm fixed-price requirements type contract is anticipated. Total contract value is estimated at $590,920. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquiries concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
