Description

The work of this project consists of rebuilding three (3) pylons by the removal and disposal of existing mortar joints, deteriorated sandstone blocks and cement foundations. Replace with new mortar joints, new sandstone blocks where required and new foundations per scope of work and specifications. Also, install government provided stone veneer on two (2) corner ends of Visitor Center (identified as Building 208) Affected structures and building are located at or near the entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, McKenzie County, Watford City, North Dakota. Cost range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. Period of performance: September 5, 2006 through May 25, 2007. This RFQ will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website (http://www.ccr.gov). Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1-888-546-0024, and Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). Should any contract result from this solicitation the contractor shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100 percent of the award amount. The contractor shall also be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238140, P & S : Z199, unrestricted competition. Solicitation issue date is on or about (O/A) June 30, 2006 and will close O/A July 31, 2006 at 4:30pm MST (local time) unless extensions are issued in an amendment. The Government reserves the right to cancel this announcement and the resulting solicitation. This announcement does not constitute a solicitation.
