- The Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces Field Office through the BLM New Mexico State Office has an upcoming requirement for the construction of approximately 25,688 linear feet of four-wire, barbed fence. Additionally, removal of approximately 25,846 linear feet of existing, old fence will be required. Contractor is expected to furnish all labor, equipment, and supplies. Performance site is in Hidalgo County, southwestern corner of New Mexico, just east of Deming. Period of performance is 90 days commencing 15 days after award. Anticipated award of the firm-fixed price contract is on or by July 26, 2006. Performance bond equivalent to 100% of the contract award value will be required. The estimated dollar value of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Request for Quotation No. GDQ060028 using procedures prescribed by FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be posted on or by June 26, 2006. Thereafter, the full solicitation package may be accessed via link to this synopsis at www.fedbizopps.gov, or directly at http://ideas.nbc.gov. A cascading evaluation approach will be utilized for this acquisition. Fair and reasonable offers from the following small businesses listed in descending order of preference will be evaluated: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone 8a, 8a, HUBZone, and all other small busineses. An organized site tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 6, at 10:00 AM.
