- This work will consist of Rental of Hopper Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Maintenance Dredging of shoal material from the Entrance Channel and Turning Basin at Manatee Harbor. Project depth is -40 feet Mean Lower Low Water (M.L.L.W). T he contract will require bottom dump placement of dredged material in the designated Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS), located approximately 34 miles from the project site. The order of work is as directed by the Contracting Officer, and dredgi ng may occur anywhere within the project limits. The contract will also require turbidity monitoring, endangered species observer/monitoring, and possible sea turtle trawling and relocation. This contract requires use of Silent Inspector System for hopper dredge monitoring. COAST GUARD CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SEA GOING BARGE ACT. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 June 2006 with bids due on or about 01 Aug ust 2006. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION.
