- DESC: 4230-01-515-4563, Part Number5-19-13855, The item to procure is a Fan Filter Assembly. Requirements are 20 minimum, 500 maximum contract quantity, Fan Filter Assembly. FOB is Destination. For use on a bump thru door. Estimated issue date is 31 JUL 2006. Please note that the Fan Filter Unit is purchased and than modifications as described in the drawing are made to the unit. The Fan Filter Unit is a FFA-580 which is available commercially from Hunter Manufacturing. There may be other source s that produce a similar fan unit but the drawing is based on modification of the Hunter FFA-580. The FFA580-100 consists of a blower, three M98, 200-cfm gas and particulate filter sets, a filter housing a frame assembly. Its rated airflow of 600-cfm may be adjusted by means of a manual flow control valve located on the blower inlet. It is both stackable and air droppable, the FFA580-100 is ideal for mobile command and medical shelters, as well as permanent shelters. The modular design of the FFA580-100 allows for multiple units to be combined for requirements greater than 600-cfm. The skid base framed construction allows for two units to be readily stacked, limiting the footprint of the system, minimizing footprint wh ile transported or installed. It removes toxic chemical and biological warfare agents in gaseous and aerosol forms from the air stream, while providing toxic free environment to personnel or equipment by creating positive pressure in the toxic free ar ea (TFA). This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailin g list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Note 26 applies. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, P oint of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
