- This project consists of, but is not limited to, the construction of a new Youth Center of approximately 39,800 square feet with drop-off driveway, parking and utilities at Dover AFB, DE. The Youth Center is a single story building including classrooms, teen space, gymnasium, kitchen and concessions and related services, support and administrative spaces, and a playground. The structure is a combination of a structural steel frame and load-bearing masonry. The exterior is a combination of facebrick, Portland cement plaster, glazed storefront system and translucent panels with a standing seam metal roof. This project includes optional requirements not listed in order of preference for landscaping, non-real property equipment, playground equipment and gazebo, playground impact absorbing surface, concrete play area, lockers, gymnasium dividing curtain, playground fence, gymnasium wall pads, and gymnasium bleachers. Award of optional requirements will be based on available funds. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220. The approximate issue date will be 21 July 2006 with an approximate response date of 18 August 2006. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal and is issued on an unrestricted basis to all firms registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). All responsive offers will be considered by the agency. The performance period is approximate 550 calendar days. The project magnitude is between $5 and $10 Million. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 436 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
