- Description
- This project consists of providing all parts, labor, equipment, tools, and material to design, fabricate, and install a new Hydraulic Power System (HPS). The HPS shall contain a hydraulic power skid, heat exchanger skid, and accumulator banks. This project includes, but is not limited to a new hydraulic power skid that provides 300 gpm and is capable of producing a pressure of 2000 psig. The operating pressure for the unit shall be set to the range of 1400-1600 psig. The pumps on the hydraulic skid shall be double vane balanced pumps. The skid shall contain 4 motors and 4 pumps. During operation, only three pumps shall be used to produce the 300 gpm flow requirement with the fourth pump meeting the requirements of availability, reliability, and maintainability. The fluid used shall be Mobile DTE 24 for the hydraulic fluid and shall be supplied by the contractor. The operating temperature of the fluid is 120 (+/- 5??F) degrees Fahrenheit. Heating elements in the reservoir shall be used to maintain the required temperature. The fluid for the hydraulic system shall be filtered in the supply line and the recirculation loop. The hydraulic skid shall have a containment area that will hold 110 % of the fluid in the reservoir. The heat exchanger skid shall be separate from the hydraulic power skid. The accumulator skids shall contain 23 10-gallon accumulators. Piping (supply and return) connecting the new hydraulic power system to the existing actuators. This project also includes a shelter for the HPS. The period of performance will be 200 calendar days following notice to proceed.
