Description

The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under solicitation number VA786-06-RP-0088 for the following service: All labor and materials necessary to provide inscriptions to Government-provided marble columbarium niche covers and delivery of the niche covers to the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, as shown in the Schedule, from date of award for one year from October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 (base period) with up to three (3) one-year options to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2009. All work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, terms and conditions of the contract. The contractor shall be required to complete the inscription work order within twenty (20) calendar days from the time of receipt of the order document. Inscription work shall not be performed at the cemetery. The contractor shall be responsible for: pick-up, packaging sufficiently to prevent damage during shipment and handling, inscribing, and returning niche covers to the cemetery. The contractor shall submit a sample marble inscription at contractor expense conforming to Government specifications. The sample should be submitted by the closing date in the solicitation. The sample shall be inscribed, lithochromed and packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. Any sample which arrives damaged will not be acceptable. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS Code is 327991. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Past Performance, 2) Specifications, 3) Timeliness of Deliveries, 4) Price. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about June 16, 2006. Responses to the solicitation are due by 4:00 p.m., July 7, 2006. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which is available at Fed Biz Opps. See Numbered Note 1.
