Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ChemDAQ Corporation for three (3) Sterilant Gas Monitoring Systems for the William S. Middleton VA Hospital, located in Madison, WI. To the best of our knowledge ChemDAQ Corporation is the only manufacturer of Sterilant Gas Monitoring Systems that offers real time ETO (ethylene oxide) monitoring and the system distinguishes between ETO and other non-toxic chemicals which prevents significant delays in providing medical treatment to VA employees, as a result of ETO exposure and meets VA safety requirements. Also ChemDAQ Corporation, Sterilant Gas Monitoring System has the capability to sense hydrogen dioxide (H2O2) which no other system has that function or flexibility that we are aware of. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334519. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with ChemDAQ Corporation.
