- The Department of Veterans, Austin Automation Center, requests Imation ADP recording media tapes per RFQ 200-101-06. The brand name Imation is requested because to the best of the Government?s knowledge Imation is the only manufacturer that uses 0.04 mil. non-magnetic back coating that protects against damage and absorbs debris. Responses to this notice must be in writing and must be received by 3:30pm cst on June 26, 2006. A different manufacturer will be considered only if the firm responds with clear and convincing evidence that the product is equal in form and function to the requirements of the solicitation. Pricing for the quantities listed in RFQ 200-101-06 must also be provided. The determination to select a different manufacturer is solely with in the discretion of the Government.
