- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and there will be no further written document issued. Request for Quotations (RFQ) 528A7-43-06 is an unrestricted procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 33911l Laboratory Apparatus Manufacturing and the size standard is 500 employees. The VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY has a requirement for one (1) automated glass coverslipper for cytology and histology slide coverslipping. The instrument must be capable of coverslipping up to 400 slides per hour, with continuous slide rack loading capabilities, and must accommodate 40, 50, 55 and 60 mm slip sizes. User intuitive operation and ease of use are important features. Offerors are requested to provide product and warranty information with their quotation. Award will be made based on the quotation determined to be the best value to the Government. This solicitation document incorporates Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09, to include the following: (1) 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Items; (2) 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items [offeror shall either return a completed copy of this provision, which may be obtained from the Internet at http://www.acquisition.gov/far/index.html, with its quotation, or shall have completed the annual on-line representations and certifications application (ORCA) which can be accessed from the website link at http://www.bpn.gov/]; (3) 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items; and (4) 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders?Commercial Items. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award. To register, go to http://www.ccr.gov/. Quotes shall be submitted electronically to Sheila.Smith3@va.gov or be faxed to 315-425-4843 and must be received by not later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, June 29, 2006, to be considered.
