- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY 40206-1499, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Philips Medical Systems N.A. (CMSNA) of Shelton, Connecticut, for the room renovation and installation of Government Provided Radiology Equipment for Project 603-06-106. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 233320 applies. To the best of our knowledge, Philips Medical Systems N.A., is the only source that can prepare the room for the new Government Provided, Philips Medical Systems Digital Radiography Equipment (Bucky CS X-ray and associated equipment), and install the equipment meeting all mfg requirements for the satisfactory operation of the equipment. The primary work elements require specific knowledge of the Unistrut support systems, power requirements, lead shielding, physical tolerances of the specific Philips Radiology equipment, and knowledge of PMSNA equipment specifications is required. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETETIVE QUOTES. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will NOT be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer (90C), VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY or via fax to (502) 287-6115. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center, Louisville will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Philips Medical Systems N.A., of Shelton Connecticut.
