- In order to maximize effective competition the FAA is pleased to announce an invitation to an Open Session at the upcoming 4th International Aviation Training Symposium (IATS). This Open Session sponsored by the FAA is an opportunity for vendors to meet for the ultimate purpose of supporting the FAA's plans for a new performance based contract with respect to future Air Traffic Controller Training. For more information about this initiative, please refer to a Market Survey to be published shortly. For more information on the IATS Conference, please refer to www.atca.org. The FAA invites any vendor with an interest in Air Traffic Controller Training to attend this event whether or not the vendor intends to submit a White Paper in accordance with the soon-to-be-released Market Survey. In appreciation of the unique capabilities small and disadvantaged businesses bring to the solution and acknowledging their contributions to the National economy, the FAA especially encourages such businesses to attend and establish communications with other vendors in this business. The Open Session will take place on July 18, 2006 from 6pm to 8pm at the Cox Business Services Convention Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
