- BLUE SPRINGS ARCH CULVERT CONSTRUCTION ? R4-12-06-04 THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS. This project shall consist of a design/build construction project consisting of a contractor-prepared design and contractor furnished and installed bottomless arch culvert, removal and disposal of existing bridge deck, abutments, curbs, etc, and other related items. Work will include, but not be limited to: Prepare and submit for Government review a design prepared and approved by an Idaho Professional Engineer, Set and maintain survey control staking by referencing Government-supplied control points; Install traffic control devices; Submit an erosion control plan that will show the stream diversion plan; cofferdam and dewatering; Supply and install all the culvert elements specified in the Solicitation package and design drawings; Construct road approaches according to the lines and grades to be developed by the Engineer; Salvage riprap from excavation of existing bridge abutments for erosion control or use by Government personnel; Scatter clearing and grubbing debris on embankment slopes; Prepare design in accordance with criteria set forth in the documents, Forest Service Manual and Handbook Direction, Programmatic Biological Assessments, Forest Plan and Federal and Idaho State requirements and regulations. The project is located west, northwest of Cambridge, Idaho on FS 008 (off West Pine Road) about 1 mile from the Forest Boundary. Estimated price range is between $50,000 and $125,000. NAICS: 237310. Size Standard: 31.0 Million. Estimated award date is 9/1/06 with separate Notices To Proceed and contract durations for design and construction phases. Construction duration estimated to be 120 calendar days with 60 days maximum allowed for road closure. A winter shut-down is anticipated, with either party allowed to request a shutdown when weather conditions warrant. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set aside.
