Description
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to solicit only one source, Americas Generators, Inc. for a requirement of JRS gooseneck trailers with two built in diesel generators, having automatic transfer switch and 200 gal each fuel tank, Quanity 4, under the authority of 10 U.S. (c) (1). Market research has demonstrated that for this specific requirement only Americas Generators, Inc. meet the agency?s needs for the gooseneck trailers with two built in diesel generators. The Firm Fixed Price procurement is conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotes. However, vendors have fifteen days to present their qualifications and capabilities. Qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement on a full and open competitive basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. The following is added: Diesel Generator Specification - Eight (8) each, 60kw diesel generators, with two (2) each, mounted securely on trailer - 60kw / 75kva Standby, 3 Phase, 60 Hz @ 1800 RPM, 208/120 Volt, 0.8 PF - Brand new diesel engine - Brushless, single bearing alternator - Automatic Starting System (to work with Automatic Transfer Switch) - Automatic Transfer Switch with manual override that will transfer to one or both generators while in operation (0-230 Amps) - Battery charging alternator - Control with safety shutdowns (oil pressure, temperature) - Mainline circuit breaker - Mechanical governor - Battery charger (fully installed) - Engine block heater (fully installed in all engines) - Critical exhaust silencer and flex fully installed within enclosure - Weatherproof and sound attenuated enclosures noise limit 75db or less per generator - Battery rack and cables (fully installed) - Skid mounted with vibration isolators - Base mounted 8 hour fuel tank (8 hours operating with both generators running at full capacity), non UL, Single wall - Owner's manual for each generator system and trailer assembly - Electric start - 5 years 3,750 hours extended warranty - Easy start and easy access for maintenance - Two generators (2) must be mounted securely on trailer - Clean power is essential for sensitive electronic equipment Trailer Specification - Four (4) each gooseneck hitch trailers - 12,000 lbs. each trailer to accommodate two (2) each 60kw generators - Approximately 220?x60?x32? - 200 gallon fuel tank with fuel pickup, return ports, fuel fill and vent - Approximately 2,000 lbs. empty weight - GVWR 12,000 lbs. - Tandem DEXTER-type 6,000 lbs. axles - Electric brakes with brake-away - 5/16" x 30" safety chains with 3/8" hooks - 10,000 lbs. drop leg jacks - 200 gallon fuel tank with fuel pickup, return ports, fuel fill and vent - DOT wiring enclosed in 1/2" steel conduit - Direct reading manual fuel gauge - 6-way round trailer fuel plug (fill and vent) - ST245/75R16 load range E trailer rated tires on 8 lug wheels - Primed and painted semi-gloss black - GOOSE NECK HITCH - Spare fuel tank must be fully interactive with both engines - Configure the balance load of the diesel generator trailer and install sleeves under trailer for balanced forklift access when loading and unloading units from a cargo transportation vehicle. - Spare fuel tank must be fully interactive with both engines NOTE: Diesel generators and trailers must be new, name brand or equivalent. No used or remanufactured parts. A DTRA representative may have the option to inspect the finished product at the manufacturer?s facility.
