Description
Tasks is to remove and dispose of two Intermediate Power Amplifier (IPA) transformers in the AN/FRT-3 transmitter at NRS(T) Jim Creek, Wa. Contractor will be required to provide: A. Proof of license to transport and dispose of used PCB contaminated oil and equipment (prior to removal of transformers from NRS(T) Jim Creek). B. Provide information on location and licensure of disposal facility to dispose of PCB contaminated equipment and oil (prior to removal of transformers from NRS(T) Jim Creek). C. After transformers have been removed from service (i.e. cabling disconnected), remove the two IPA transformers from building, load onto proper conveyance, and transport them to an acceptable disposal facility (on or before 30 September 2006). D.Provide documentation showing chain of custody, proper disposal of the used oil and proper destruction of the transformers. The transformers themselves must be completely destroyed and may not be relegated to a landfill (prior to 30 September 2007). E. Perform tasks A through D in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations including all applicable safety and spill recovery requirements. F. Contractor will be required to travel to NRS(T) Jim Creek to remove the transformers from the building and transport them to the appropriate disposal facility. G.Although the transformers will be transported to the disposal facility prior to 30 September 2006, Environmental Protection Agency regulations allow the disposal site up to one year to complete the destruction, thus final documentation of the disposal may not be available until 30 September 2007; therefore request that completion date for this task be established 30 September 2007. H.The contractor shall propose travel costs in the following format: From/To #Trips #People #Days All interested offerers will be considered. AWARD WILL BE IAW SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION FAR PART 13.
