- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division, Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD has a requirement for 20 each AV-2055-3 Antenna and 20 each AV 2012-4 SATCOM Antenna. The Government intends to procure these antenna on a sole source basis from Trivec-Avant Corporation, the sole manufacturer and distributor. Only the listed antenna were found to meet all of the Governments technical requirements including a 1:5:1 Voltage Standing Wave Ratio and the ability to withstand a 160 MPH wind-loading. Additionally the antennas have the requirement to be interoperable and compatabile with existing systems using the same antenna. If an alternative vendor product were selected, the Government would incur significant, unrecoverable nonrecurring engineering, test and evaluation, and logistical costs associated multiple equipments types and managing multiple inventories. The required delivery date for this effort is 19 December 2006 to NAWCAD, Webster Field, St. Ingoes, MD 20684 and is based on an anticipated award of 18 September 2006.
