- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a contract to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) on an other than full and open competitive basis. The contract will be for Non Recurring Engineering (NRE) efforts and logistics support to perform the design, manufacturing engineering, process planning, tool design, and tool fabrication to retrofit fielded MH-60S aircraft with Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM), Armed Helicopter (A/H), LINK 16, P3I, Active Vibration Control (AVC) and Integrated Maintenance Diagnostics/Health and Usage Monitoring System (IMDS Hums) capabilities. This contract will also procure 5 aircraft provision kits (A-Kits) for AMCM, A/H, Link 16, P3I, AVC and IMDS and istallation of these kits, with 2 option years for the procurement of 8 A-Kits for for AMCM, A/H, Link 16, P3I and 17 A-Kits for AVC and IMDS and installation of these kits in Fiscal year 08 and 9 A-Kits for AMCM, A/H, Link 16, P3I and 18 A-Kits for AVC and IMDS in fiscal year 09. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GENERAL INFORMATION: Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the MH-60S aircraft. SAC alone has the proprietary technical data, experience, equipment and special skills to furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe.
