- The U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting proposals for Floodwalls and Structures within the New Orleans District. This procurement will be an Unrestricted Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), single award contract with a base year and an option to extend for two additional years. The total magnitude of construction for all task orders issued under this contract will be NTE $250,000,000.00. Task Orders for the construction of floodwalls consists of cleari ng and grubbing; selective demolition; excavation; driving steel sheet piling, steel H-piles, precast concrete square piles, steel pipe piles and timber piles; placement of reinforced concrete for T-walls, I-walls and L-walls; fabrication and installation of steel swing or roller type gates; gates at railroad crossings, temporary railroad false work structures, associated railroad track work, removing and replacing roadway surfacing, placing compacted and semi-compacted embankment; fertilizing, seeding and mulching, and other incidental work Accomplishment of this mission is anticipated to include, but is not limited to, general construction capabilities via a rapid response program.
