- The Volpe Center intends to negotiate a contract extension with the Lincoln County Solid Waste, Libby, Montana, under Contract Number DTRS57-03-D-30016. The proposed contract extension will have a period of performance of twelve months, from July 10, 2006 to July 10, 2007. At the end of this period it is anticipated that a follow-on contract will be awarded. This is a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Contractor, Lincoln County Solid Waste is a disposal facility that is fully licensed for the disposal of asbestos contaminated material, commonly known as ZAI Zonolite. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document and no Request for Proposals will be available for competitive proposals. Interested parties must respond to this announcement in writing within 15 days of publication. Telephonic requests will not be honored. For Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
