Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Central Region Acquisition Division (CRAD) intends to solicit for Phased Depot Maintenance (PDM) on an Orion WP-3C (UII.5) (aka P-3) aircraft for the Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), MacDill AFB, FL. The P-3 is located at the Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Center (AMARC), Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. The aircraft will be made airworthy by AMARC personnel and approved for a one-time flight to a contractor depot/repair/maintenance facility. This synopsis is an amendment to the original synopsis posted on February 23, 2006. The following are some of the major changes to the synopsis description: 1.The basic service is changed from a full Standard Depot Level Maintenance (SDLM) Inspection and a Structurally Significant Inspection (SSI) to a Phased Depot Maintenance (PDM) I, II, and III inspection and an Air Frame Bulletin 369 inspection. 2.The awarded contractor?s maintenance facility shall be either an Authorized Lockheed Martin Orion Service Center or submit other documentation and or certifications that show quality of work, experience, and like assessments 3.The period of performance shall be based on 90 calendar days to complete the required inspections. 4.Contract award is expected by September 15, 2006. 5.Offeror must submit an airworthiness plan for all the work 6.Closing date for receipt of proposals is June 30, 2006. The engineering drawings for the hatch, bubble windows, flooring, and painting are only available electronically at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Aircraft Operations Center, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) website for offerors to download. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency
