Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations for a firm fixed price contract on an other than full and open competition basis with Spectra Physics 1335 Terra Bella Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043 for one Ultra Fast Laser System Kit, Spectra Physics, a portion of the specifications are listed below: 1) Green pump laser and regeneratively mode locked Ti:sapphire oscillator, 2) Ti:sapphire oscillator is tunable from 700-1000 nm using a single optics set over these pulse widths, 3) Ti:sapphire oscillator slit tuned for adjustable pulse widths of 65-220 fs in the femtosecond mode of operation. 4)Ti:sapphire oscillator supplied with options for pulse widths of 5, 30 and 80 ps in the picosecond mode of operation. 5) Ti:sapphire oscillator supplied with options for continuous wave (CW) Operation, 6) Ti:sapphire oscillator upgradeable to pulse widths of 200-800 fs and/or100 ps, 7) optical table with actively damped air legs, 8) Overhead shelving unit for housing required diagnostic/calibration equipment, and 9) Chiller for laser. This solicitation will close on or about 15 July 2006. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5). This requirement is limited to Spectra Physics because of its proprietary and unique capabilities in pulse width capabilities. Any firm believing they can provide the Ultra Fast Laser System Kit that meets the specifications may submit a written response to be received by the Contracting Officer no later than (15) days after this notification is published. Responses shall provide documentation to include brochures and/or literature that show they can meet the requirements stated in the solicitation. All requests must reference RFQ N68936-06-T-0130.
